How to Play Tetris 2
Quick start
Select 1 PLAYER on the title screen with SELECT and press START. Use Up/Down to choose a setting and Left/Right to change it; try LOW speed and the first round. Press START to begin. Move a shape with Left/Right and rotate it with A or B, aiming to join three blocks of the same colour in a row or column. Watch where separated pieces will land, and press Down to drop faster once you are lined up.
Controls
Left/Right moves the falling shape; Down speeds its descent. A rotates it 90 degrees clockwise, B 90 degrees anticlockwise. SELECT changes the title-screen mode and is unused during play. START begins or pauses the game; press it again to resume. In settings, Up/Down selects an item and Left/Right adjusts it. Use Controller I for single-player and Controllers I and II for two-player competition. Matches require three or more of one colour horizontally or vertically, not diagonal groups or a full row of mixed colours.
Tetris 2 — About this game
Tetris 2 is a falling-block puzzle built around colour rather than completing solid rows. Arrange at least three blocks of one colour horizontally or vertically to erase them. The nine falling shapes each contain four pieces, and some split apart when they land, making the final position as important as the rotation. Fixed blocks already occupy the field, including special flashing targets. In the single-player game, removing a Flash Block clears fixed blocks of its colour; remove all flashing targets to finish the round. Clearing a group can drop other pieces into place and trigger a chain reaction. Choose a starting round and drop speed, or compete against another player or the computer. Competitive players can set their own speed and round independently to balance the challenge.
