How to Play The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy
Quick start
Press START to begin and practise moving left and right, jumping with A and attacking with B in Bedrock. Break barrels for useful items. If you catch a ledge, keep A held and press Up to climb. Complete the opening stage to reach the world map. Once you collect a special weapon, cycle to it with SELECT and press Up+B to use it, keeping an eye on your coins.
Controls
Left/Right: move. A: jump; keep it held to hang from a ledge, then hold A and press Up to climb. B: swing the club; hold B to charge a stronger attack. SELECT: cycle collected weapons. Up+B: use the selected weapon at a coin cost. START: begin the game; during play, stop the action and call Gazoo. After earning special abilities, use the Control Pad in Gazoo's selection screen to choose one. Basketball: A jumps, while B shoots with the ball or bumps the opponent to take it.

The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy follows Fred on a journey to recover his kidnapped pets from the future. To get there, he must collect the missing pieces of Gazoo's time machine. Fred swings his club at enemies and barrels, jumps between platforms and hangs from ledges to reach higher paths. After the opening Bedrock stage, a world map connects the adventure's other locations. Collected weapons such as the slingshot, axe and explosive egg use coins, so they complement rather than replace the club. Winning basketball challenges provides special abilities that Gazoo can bring out when Fred needs help crossing difficult terrain.
