How to Play Will Harvey Presents The Immortal

Quick start

Press A or B at the title/demo, then press either button with the cursor on END to begin the first level. Walk toward the skull and candle and read Mordamir's message carefully. Approach objects and doors to examine them or pass through; some doors need keys. SELECT opens your pack, where the D-pad highlights an item and A or B selects it. In your first duel, evade with Left/Right plus A, then mix B jabs with Left/Right plus B slashes.

Controls

D-pad moves the wizard. Outside combat, A or B casts fireballs at flying creatures; press either quickly at a steady rhythm to escape a pit trap. SELECT opens the Wizard's Pack and pauses exploration; choose with the D-pad and A or B. Select MORE to see additional items. Combat cannot be paused: B jabs, Right+B gives a forehand slash, Left+B a backhand slash, and Left/Right+A ducks that way. Attacking increases fatigue; stop attacking to recover. START opens the level-restart prompt, not pause. Certificate entry uses the D-pad and A/B; DEL corrects and END confirms.

Will Harvey Presents The Immortal — About this game

The Immortal follows a wizard into the Labyrinth of Eternity beneath ruined Erinoch, searching for his missing teacher Mordamir. Moving from room to room reveals messages, useful objects, hidden dangers and encounters that require more than fighting. Examine what you find and choose when and where to use items from the Wizard's Pack; many disappear after use. In close combat, sword attacks raise fatigue, while dodging lets you wait for the opponent to tire before striking back. Exploration fireballs are for flying creatures, not a substitute for the sword duel. Straw beds provide a safe place to rest and dream. Each dungeon level gives you three lives, and completing it awards a certificate code that lets you resume at the next stage of the journey.
