How to Play The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning
Quick start
Choose New Game and begin in the Swamp after the introduction. Move right, press A to clear the first gap, then follow Sparx’s prompts to double-jump, grab the next ledge and hold the second A press to glide. Walk through the checkpoint, smash the gem cluster and defeat the first Frogweeds by charging into them and following with repeated B attacks. Save separately from the START pause menu because checkpoints are not permanent saves.
Controls
D-pad moves. A jumps; press twice to double-jump and hold the second press to glide. B performs melee attacks; hold B with a direction to charge. R uses the current breath, L uses its long-range attack, SELECT switches breath type and START opens the pause/save menu. Menus use the D-pad and A/B to confirm or return.
