How to Play The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords
Quick start
Create a file and choose A Link to the Past for the single-player quest. After Zelda’s telepathic call, leave Link’s house, follow the marked route toward Hyrule Castle and enter through the hidden passage; take the sword and shield from Link’s uncle, then rescue Zelda from the dungeon and escort her to the Sanctuary. Four Swords is a separate 2–4-player linked-GBA mode.
Controls
D-pad moves Link. B swings the sword; hold and release B for a spin attack. A uses the selected item, opens chests and talks. R lifts or pulls objects and, after obtaining the Pegasus Shoes, dashes. L opens the overworld or dungeon map, SELECT opens the inventory to assign the A-button item, and START opens the save/sleep menu. Four Swords displays mode-specific actions.
