How to Play The Money Game
Quick start
Press START on the title and press A after the message to proceed to game selection. Select "Start from the beginning" with the arrow pad and confirm with A. On the Apartment screen, move the cursor to the computer and select "Buy Stocks" to display a list of 60 stocks. Select a stock, move the input digits with the left and right buttons, specify 0 to 9 with the up and down buttons to determine the number of shares, and confirm with A. The buying and selling unit is 1000 shares, and there is a 1% commission on buying and 1.5% including tax on selling, so please include this in your profit calculation. Gather materials using newspapers and telephone calls, and also check banks and household items. Open the save screen with SELECT for each section, select "Please" with A and record.
Controls
Cross button: Select an icon or brand on the screen. The stock price list can be moved up/down/left/right. When entering the number of shares, select the digit with the left and right buttons, and select 0 to 9 with the top and bottom buttons. A: Decide on the icon and command, enter the number of shares, and proceed with the message displayed. B: Cancel the icon selected with A. START: Start the game from the title. SELECT: Open the save screen during the game and interrupt progress.
The Money Game — About this game
"The Money Game" is an economic simulation for the Famicom that combines the stock market and daily life. The main character starts with a capital of 1 million yen and takes on the challenge of increasing it to 1 billion yen in about two years. They use computer terminals to check the stock prices of 60 companies, buy and sell them, collect information from newspapers and telephones, and use banks to read market changes. Not only stocks, but also items and lifestyle factors such as housing, cars, and girlfriends are involved in the process, and to increase your assets, you must also consider the purchase price, taxes and fees when selling. Progress can be saved, and cash, stock holdings, stock prices, items, and number of stages are recorded.
