How to Play The Mutant Virus: Crisis in a Computer World
Quick start
In the opening COMM stage, first practice Left/Right to turn and B to thrust; this is steering with momentum, not direct movement with all four directions. Fire vaccine with A and use SELECT to switch AU, SF and LF as needed. Down+B brakes; release B before releasing Down to avoid moving off again. Watch the map and clear infected cells sector by sector, staying off active virus. After Counter Measures become available, collect one, select CM and deploy it with A+B.
Controls
A: fire the selected vaccine weapon; hold for repeated fire. B: thrust in the direction you face. Left/Right: rotate. Up+B: HyperThrust. Down+B: SpeedBrake; release B first, then Down. SELECT: cycle weapons. With a collected Counter Measure selected, A+B deploys it. START: pause. The control panel automatically displays the sector map, cleared areas and outbreak warnings.

The Mutant Virus: Crisis in a Computer World sends debugger Ron Trainer inside CPI, the computer system supporting a future world's essential services. Five stages contain connected sectors whose virus cells spread while you maneuver and fire vaccine charges. The challenge is to convert and clear infected areas, not simply shoot a fixed set of enemies. AU, SF and LF charges offer different detonation behavior, while collected Counter Measures keep spreading vaccinated cells after deployment. Flying over active virus drains your PowerPack, so turning, thrusting and braking precisely are essential. A permanent control-panel map highlights your sector and indicates cleared rooms or new outbreaks. Later areas add security hazards and urgent warnings, making route planning as important as aiming.
