How to Play The Uncanny X-Men
Quick start
Choose one or two players with SELECT and confirm with START. Select one of the five missions, then choose two X-Men whose speed, durability and mutant attacks suit the stage; in a one-player game you directly control the first pick while the computer follows with the second. Move upward together because the screen will not scroll if one teammate remains at the bottom. Search for keys and portals, find the command post, defeat its guardian, collect the computer disk and backtrack to the starting point before the bomb expires. Use the Danger Room practice option first if needed; hold A and press START there when ready to leave for a real mission.
Controls
D-pad: move up, down, left and right. B: jump or fly, depending on the selected X-Man. A: use that X-Man’s mutant power. SELECT: in a one-player mission, switch control between the two team members; on menus, choose player count or mission. START: display the in-mission status screen with power, keys and disks, then resume; on menus, confirm selections. In two-player mode, each controller operates one X-Man.
