How to Play The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles
Quick start
Press START after setting Music and Scenes. Move with the D-pad, jump with A and attack with B. Break wooden crates, but choose pickups carefully because every new weapon immediately replaces the old one. A hat or gas mask absorbs one hit, and collecting another shield while protected awards an extra life. Gather gold toward 100 for another life, and use torches, flashlights, statues or amulets when they appear because their effects are temporary. Look for doors, ladders and narrow passages with the D-pad. In the German dogfight, the controls change: B fires the machine guns and A drops a collected bomb. Study each boss pattern and keep a suitable weapon instead of automatically taking the next pickup.
Controls

The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles — About this game
The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles is a side-scrolling NES action adventure based on the television series. Its three campaigns—Mexico, France and Germany—span many sub-stages and boss fights, from Pancho Villa’s desert and an abandoned silver mine to World War I battlefields, cliff faces, railway cars, a dogfight with the Red Baron and a poison-gas facility. Wooden crates hide replacement weapons, shields, temporary support items and gold. Indy may carry only one main weapon and one normal shield at a time; taking a hit first removes the shield, then the weapon, then a life. Every stage ends with a boss, and up to five continues restart the current stage.
