How to Play Time Zone
Quick start
In the first modern stage, try out the basics of moving with the D-pad, jumping with A, and throwing your hat with B. If you move while holding B, you can dash, and then press A to make a big jump. Look at the positions of enemies and holes, use your speed wisely, and aim for the last rope. You can also attack from behind by jumping over the area where the hat returns with A. If you lose all your aircraft, press A or START while the CONTINUE display is displayed to restart from that era.
Controls
D-pad: Move. A: Jump. B: Throwing a hat. D-pad while holding B: Dash. A while dashing: Big jump. If you jump to dodge the thrown hat when it comes back, the hat will spin back and attack the enemy. If you throw your hat with B while jumping, it becomes a jump attack that spins around you. After the game is over, press A or START while CONTINUE is displayed to continue from that era.
Time Zone — About this game
"Time Zone" is an action game for the Famicom in which the boy Ken travels through time to save Haruka-chan who has been kidnapped by Dr. Time. The stage changes from modern times to the dinosaur era, the West, the Warring States period, the future, and a mysterious other dimension, and strong enemies await in each era. The basic weapon is a thrown hat, and if you jump to avoid the hat that returns, you can attack enemies behind you. If you throw it in the air, you can use it to pass the hat around Ken, and it's interesting to think about not only your standing position but also the timing of the throw. Avoid enemies and pitfalls and aim to reach the rope at the end of the stage. If you collect eight bells, you will ride a skateboard for a certain period of time, become invincible, and advance by ramming. In each era, there is also a bonus chance to increase the number of aircraft by answering the quiz correctly.
