How to Play TINCan! Escape
Quick start
Select the first stage and locate TINCan, the exit, walls and the nearest enemy. Move a single square with the D-pad, then examine how the robot responds before taking the next step. Follow the early route to the exit. As switches and special tiles appear, plan how to open a path or lure guards away; save Undo for a move that clearly needs correcting.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move TINCan one square in a chosen direction. Stylus movement is also available through the touch interface. Check both the upper angled view and lower flat board before moving near a guard or special tile. Choose Undo to reverse one move; it can be used only three times per stage. Revisit completed stages to improve the move count.
TINCan! Escape — About this game
TINCan has been kidnapped before an important presentation, and the way back passes through rooms guarded by hostile machines. Each room is an eight-by-eight board where a single step can change the relationship between you, a pursuer and the exit. Robots have different movement patterns, so the problem is to observe their response and use barriers to create a safe route. Switches open sections of wall, while special floor spaces can freeze or destroy robots and become tools for misleading the guards. The DS shows an angled view above and a flat overview below, giving two ways to read the same position. A limited Undo option lets you reconsider a mistake, but only one step at a time and three uses per stage. Replaying cleared rooms for fewer moves turns an escape into a more precise route-planning problem.
