How to Play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
Quick start
Press START or A, select Free Skate, then choose a skater and an available course such as the Foundry. Build speed with Left/Right and practice holding then releasing A for an ollie. Try changing lanes at a connected ramp before starting Career Mode and checking the level's goals.
Controls
Left/Right: accelerate in that direction; press opposite your movement to brake. Up/Down: change to an adjacent lane at ramps or bowls that connect lanes. Hold A, then release to ollie. B starts a grind near a suitable edge; directions with A or B select air tricks. Hold B at a ramp lip for a lip trick and balance with Left/Right. START pauses.

HotGen's GBC entry starts at the Foundry and follows a tour through street locations and competition parks. Career goals cover score targets, S-K-A-T-E letters, secret tapes and tasks tied to the environment. Contest stages replace those goals with three ranked runs. The controls change between ground movement and airborne tricks, and connected lanes at suitable ramps let you reach different parts of a course. Single Session provides two-minute score attempts; Free Skate gives you room to learn the layout and prepare a better route.
