How to Play Tottoko Hamtaro: Tomodachi Daisakusen Dechu
Quick start
Choose はじめる with A. Set the current time, then waking and sleeping times, using Left/Right for fields and Up/Down for values. Enter your name and profile as prompted. At the cage choose Hamtaro to talk, or the desk icon to open the initial personality book. Finish a session through the START suspension menu.
Controls
D-pad: select; Up/Down changes numbers and Left/Right changes fields. A: confirm or turn a friend card over. B: cancel or return. START at the cage or desk opens the suspension screen. SELECT inside the friend card book opens editing and sorting. In name entry, START confirms the entry.

Visit Hamtaro at different times for greetings and playful condition checks. The desk begins with a personality book, while other books and functions appear as you keep playing. Add people through the book and review their cards, including the reverse side. Later tools compare compatibility and display rankings. The original cartridge can exchange friend cards by infrared; its main activity remains a single-player profile and fortune-telling experience.
