How to Play Touch Detective
Quick start
Complete the opening detective tutorial, leave Mackenzie’s room and touch the office telephone to choose Episode 1.
Controls
Tap destinations, people and objects; select an item then its target to use it, or tap twice to examine it. The directional pad moves the cursor and A investigates or selects. The notepad opens the system menu for saving.
Touch Detective — About this game
Investigate odd cases as Mackenzie by talking, examining scenes and putting collected objects to use. The first launch begins a detective tutorial; follow it before entering the office and touching the telephone to select Episode 1. Solving a case opens the next main episode, while the bonus episode offers smaller requests around town. A tap can move Mackenzie, inspect a place or begin a conversation, depending on the target. Select an item and then its intended person or location to try it; touch the item twice to open a closer view and inspect its details. Watch Mackenzie’s thoughts above the action and listen carefully to what people say. Save through the notepad’s system menu before leaving an unfinished investigation.
