Select the piece and its destination through the displayed board controls, checking drops and promotion choices before confirming. Use the match menu for hints or takebacks when available.
Toudai Shougi - Meijinsen Doujou DS — About this game
Play shogi against the computer and work through positions taken from Meijin matches. This DS title combines regular games with a Meijin dojo of next-move and mating problems, so choose the activity you want before starting. In a game, adjust the opponent strength or handicap and remember that captured pieces can return to the board as drops. Protect your king while considering both pieces already on the board and those in hand. In a problem, inspect the whole position and the requested goal before selecting a move. Hints and takebacks are available in the ordinary match menu. Historical match records and commentary provide another way to review play, but the dojo asks you to answer rather than merely browse those records.
