Transformers: The Headmasters — About this game

``Transformers: The Headmasters'' is a side-scrolling shooter for the Famicom Disk System based on the anime. Each stage is divided into a section in which you advance in vehicle form and a section in which you fight in robot form, and the player is not able to transform at any time. Ground vehicles fire anti-aircraft missiles and forward bullets while adjusting their speed, and flying vehicles fire by changing their altitude and position on the screen. In robot form, he floats through the air, defeating weaker enemies with his gun, stopping stronger enemies, and destroying tougher enemies with his punches. He saves his four companions who were captured by three stars, switches between five bodies with different personalities, and aims for the final battle against Mega Zarak with Fortress Maximus.
