How to Play Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2
Quick start
Choose New Game, select a difficulty and pick a save slot. Follow the opening into Chapter 1, Refugee Camp, where the first patient has leg injuries from a crocodile attack. Read the briefing and follow the assistant’s tool-by-tool instructions, beginning with suturing the external wounds. Watch the vitals as well as the time; complete the guided operation before trying for a better rank.
Controls
During operations, tap a tool icon on the lower screen and use the stylus on the indicated area. Draw a continuous zigzag to suture, follow the guideline with the scalpel and drag extracted objects with forceps to the tray without lifting early. The Control Pad navigates menus; A confirms or advances dialogue, B goes back, SELECT fast-forwards dialogue and START pauses. L/R select the Healing Touch icon once that ability is available.

Story scenes lead into operations where you choose instruments and carry out precise stylus gestures while watching the patient’s vitals and the clock. Suturing, extracting fragments and rebuilding damaged areas demand different movements, and your assistant explains the task on the upper screen. Difficulty settings change the pressure, while post-operation ratings encourage cleaner, faster replays. Derek’s Healing Touch becomes another resource as the story progresses, giving crucial breathing room during demanding procedures.
