How to Play Treasure Master
Quick start
Press Start and move Skooter with Left/Right. Use A to jump, Down to crouch, and B to operate the currently selected item. Press Select to open the item screen, move Left/Right to choose among collected tools, then return and use B where the item is needed. Try Up+A near climbable or catchable objects, and Down+A to leave a vehicle or detonate a bomb. Explore every route for keys, machine parts, protective equipment, and extra lives; many obstacles are solved by using an item rather than forcing a jump. The quest must be played from beginning to end, so conserve the four starting lives and learn each world’s hazards.
Controls
Controller 1 only. D-pad Left/Right: move; Down: crouch. A: jump. B: operate the item selected on the selection screen. Select: open the selection screen; Left/Right there cycles through collected tools. Start: begin or pause. Up+A: catch or climb when the environment permits. Down+A: exit a vehicle or blow up a bomb. Walk into collectible tools and bonuses to pick them up.
Treasure Master — About this game
Treasure Master is a single-player NES platform adventure built around exploration and item use. After finding a mysterious gold coin, Skooter enters fantasy worlds formed within his imagination and must complete each one in a single continuous quest. The route crosses dangerous islands, the circuitry of a microchip, the interior of the moon, and other strange environments filled with creatures, traps, vehicles, and puzzles. A selection screen stores tools such as a space hopper, hard hat, boots, control box, oxygen, scissors, bow and arrow, keys, and machine parts; choosing the right object is often as important as jumping past enemies. You begin with four lives, can recover energy or find extra lives, and must clear all five normal worlds without shortcuts or a save system.
