How to Play Tringo
Quick start
Press START, enter a player name when prompted, choose Single Player, and select Classic to learn the standard rules. A round deals 35 differently shaped pieces onto a 5-by-5 grid. Move the marked origin square of the current piece to the cell where you want to anchor it, then place it before the 10-second turn expires. Complete solid 2-by-2, 2-by-3 or 3-by-3 rectangles to clear those cells and score; larger rectangles earn more. A skipped piece or an expired turn costs seven points. Keep the centre flexible and favour placements that can complete several rectangles rather than filling isolated edge cells. Time Trial removes the 35-piece limit and asks for the best score within the selected time, while Infinite continues as long as valid placements remain.
Controls
Use the D-Pad to navigate menus and move the placement cursor around the 5-by-5 board. A confirms a menu choice and places the current piece at its marked origin cell. B cancels in menus and skips the current piece during a round, taking the mode's point penalty. START begins from the title screen and pauses play. No reliable online GBA control table was found for L, R or SELECT, so no gameplay function is assigned to those buttons here. Follow the cartridge's How to Play screen if a contextual prompt differs.
