How to Play Tsurikichi Sanpei: Blue Marlin Hen
Quick start
Start by selecting START in the title and enter your team name. On the chart, use the cross button to move the boat and press START at the location you want to fish. Open the line and bait selection screen with SELECT, select with the cross button, and confirm with A. Move the boat from side to side and wait until you catch a fish. When you hit a hit, press and release the bottom of the cross button to move the rod up and down, then press B repeatedly to reel it in. If the meter turns yellow or red, refrain from winding and loosen the pulling force. If the fish gentleman recommends changing the location, press START to return to the chart. When returning to port, use the nautical chart to move to the port and press START to proceed to weighing.
Controls
Cross button: Operate the cursor, the ship on the chart, and the boat while fishing. After a fish hits, press the bottom button to raise the rod, and release the button to lower the rod. B consecutive hits: Winding the reel. A: Deciding on line, bait, and input characters. SELECT: Open/close line/bait selection screen. START: Start, determine fishing point, switch between fishing screen and chart, change screen after returning to port. Instead of casting, you move the boat and wait for the fish to hit.

"Tsurikichi Sanpei Blue Marlin Edition" is a Famicom fishing game in which Sanpei and Uoshin participate in a marlin fishing tournament. Compete for fishing results over a five-day period, search for points on a nautical chart, select line and bait, and go trolling. You wait by moving the boat from side to side until you catch a fish, and after you hit a fish, you compete by raising and lowering the rod and reeling in the reel. There is a meter on the screen that shows the power relationship between the fish and Sanpei, and the line will break if you keep winding it forcibly, so it is important to judge when to pull hard and when to rest. Preparation for the fish you are targeting, such as securing skipjack tuna and using it as bait, will also affect your fishing results. After the competition, participants weigh in and check their rankings at the port, then return to the hotel to prepare for the next day. Let's aim for the big fish "Devil Sword" on the last day, using the advice of the fish man and the changes in the chart as clues.
