How to Play Ultimate Mortal Kombat
Quick start
Select a fighter, read the second-screen move list and practice blocking plus one move in the first bout. For Puzzle Kombat learn rotation and the next piece before dropping quickly.
Controls
Fighting: D-pad moves, Y/B high/low punch, X/A high/low kick, L runs and R blocks. Puzzle: A/B rotate, Y uses a full-meter special; follow the mode's drop controls. START pauses.
Ultimate Mortal Kombat — About this game
Choose a fighter and an arcade ladder, then learn spacing, blocking and one reliable attack before attempting long special sequences. The second DS screen lists the chosen fighter's moves, making it useful to check an input between exchanges. Puzzle Kombat is a separate falling-block contest: rotate the pieces, arrange colors for clearing and use the character special when its meter is ready. Start with one mode so a fighting input is not confused with a puzzle rotation. Both modes reward understanding when to defend or build before committing to an attack.
