How to Play Urban Champion
Quick start
Use SELECT at the title to choose one or two players, then press START. Begin with quick A punches, change between high and low attacks, and use B when you have an opening. Advance without letting yourself be trapped at the edge; watch for falling pots and the timer.
Controls
A: fast light punch. B: slower heavy punch. Up: high guard/high punch stance; Down: low guard/body punch stance. Toward the opponent: advance. Away: sway back; hold to retreat. For the left fighter these are Right and Left; the right fighter uses the reverse. SELECT chooses the mode at the title and has no function during play. START begins and pauses/resumes.
Urban Champion — About this game
Urban Champion turns a street fight into a contest for space. Fast light punches push an opponent back, while slower heavy blows knock them down. Choose a high or low guard, strike where the rival is exposed, and sway away from incoming punches. Being forced off the screen costs a chance; when only one remains, the manhole opens and a fall ends the contest. Falling flowerpots can interrupt your attack, and if time runs out the police remove the fighter nearest the edge. Play alone against the computer or challenge another player, balancing pressure against the stamina spent throwing punches.
