How to Play V-Rally: Edition '99
Quick start
Use the D-pad to choose a language and SELECT to confirm, then enter Arcade and choose Easy, a rally and a car. Hold A to accelerate, steer with Left/Right and use B to slow before corners. Watch the timer and next checkpoint rather than only chasing rivals. Enter tight bends early and keep clear of obstacles; note continuation passwords.
Controls
Left/Right steers and the D-pad navigates menus. A accelerates; B brakes during a race and returns to the previous menu elsewhere. SELECT confirms menu choices. START pauses; SELECT while paused quits the current game. In Arcade, keep reaching checkpoints before the timer runs out.
V-Rally: Edition '99 — About this game
Choose a Mitsubishi, Subaru, Peugeot or Ford rally car before taking on the different surfaces. Arcade begins with three credits and requires you to pass three checkpoints before the countdown expires; winning can earn another credit. Championship instead awards points according to your finish. Passwords continue Arcade progress, and options adjust Championship difficulty, turn signs and speed units.
