How to Play Wayne's World
Quick start
Press START and move carefully to the right while learning the reach of the current character. Tap A to jump; hold Up while pressing A when a higher flip is needed. Garth can attack from a safer distance with B, but Wayne must time his B-button kick close to an enemy, so wait for a clear approach. Press Up at doors to enter them. Collect donuts or energy pickups when Worthiness is low, watch the stage timer, and grab P icons quickly because their upgraded attacks are temporary.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right: move. D-pad Down: duck. D-pad Up: enter doors. A: jump. D-pad Up + A: perform Wayne's high flip jump. B: attack; Wayne uses karate moves and Garth fires his 4000-volt taser. START: begin the game.
Wayne's World — About this game
Wayne's World on NES is a five-level side-scrolling action game in which Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar try to stop a corporate producer from taking control of their cable-access show. The route runs through Kramer's Music Store, the Gasworks, an alleyway, Benjamin's Chicago studio, and his condo, with the two heroes taking turns in different sections. Wayne fights at close range with karate kicks, while Garth uses a homemade 4000-volt taser for ranged attacks; Wayne can also perform a high flip jump to reach upper routes. Each life begins with 22 Worthiness units, and enemy contact or long falls reduce that health. The timer, score, lives, and current character appear in the status display, while dropped P icons temporarily grant Wayne twenty roundhouse kicks or give Garth faster double taser blasts.
