How to Play Wheel of Fortune: Featuring Vanna White
Quick start
Press START, choose one to three human contestants or a computer opponent, set the computer difficulty, and enter names. On your turn, use Left/Right to choose SPIN, VOWEL, or SOLVE before the timer expires. When spinning, press A while the speed color is highlighted; a faster spin does not guarantee a safer result. Start with common consonants and buy a vowel only when it meaningfully narrows the pattern. If you know the answer, choose SOLVE, enter every missing letter, use B to correct the previous position, and press START only after checking the full spelling.
Controls
D-pad: move through setup choices, letters, and puzzle-entry positions; Left/Right selects SPIN, VOWEL, or SOLVE during a turn. A: confirm highlighted choices and, on the wheel screen, set the spin speed and spin. B: while solving, move back one letter so it can be corrected. START: begin after setup and submit a completed puzzle answer. In the three-player arrangement, players 1 and 2 share controller 1 while player 3 uses controller 2.
Wheel of Fortune: Featuring Vanna White — About this game
Wheel of Fortune: Featuring Vanna White is the later NES adaptation of the television game show, adding an on-screen Vanna, enhanced presentation, more than 2,000 puzzles, computer opponents, and support for up to three human contestants. Each turn offers SPIN, VOWEL, or SOLVE under a short decision timer. A successful consonant pays the landed wheel value for every occurrence, while a vowel costs $250 no matter how many copies appear. Bankrupt removes current-round cash, Lose a Turn passes play, and Free Spin can preserve a turn in the first two rounds. A full game runs for four regular rounds, with rising top wheel values. The leading contestant enters the final stage, receives E, L, N, R, S, and T, chooses three additional consonants and one vowel, then has 60 seconds to solve for a prize.
