How to Play Win, Lose or Draw
Quick start
Press START, choose one or two teams, select a difficulty, and choose Automatic mode for the simplest first game. Watch the Computer Artist until the phrase or name becomes recognizable, move the cursor over the needed letters, confirm them with A, then press B to submit. Guessing early can preserve more points, but every wrong answer lowers the value. In Player mode, move the drawing cursor with the D-pad, use A to draw, and use B to erase. Expect five standard rounds, then a speed round with only one submission for each clue; press B to skip quickly when a speed-round picture is unfamiliar.
Controls
D-pad: move the cursor on menus, the drawing board, and the on-screen letter grid. A: draw or confirm a highlighted choice or letter. B: erase a player-made drawing, submit an entered guess, or skip an unknown clue during the speed round. START: begin the game or pause. SELECT: not used.
Win, Lose or Draw — About this game
Win, Lose or Draw adapts the television game show into a drawing-and-guessing party game for NES. One or two teams can be configured, with male or female on-screen teammates and difficulty levels that shorten the available thinking time. In Automatic mode, the Computer Artist gradually draws each clue while players move through an on-screen alphabet to submit a guess; Player mode lets the teams take turns drawing their own clues with the controller, and Practice mode provides a free drawing board without clues. A correct solution earns the points still displayed, while wrong submissions reduce the value. After five normal rounds, the match moves to a speed round in which each picture permits only one guess before the next clue appears, rewarding quick recognition instead of waiting for every line to be drawn.
