How to Play WordJong

Quick start

Try a Daily puzzle from the calendar. Look for uncovered letter tiles with a free left or right edge, then tap them in the order of an English word. Check the selected letters and touch Submit. Keep enough vowels and usable endings for the remaining tiles; the aim is to clear the whole stack, not only one long word.

Controls

Tap available letter tiles with the stylus, then use the displayed Submit control to accept the word. CLEAR and BACK let you revise the selection; undo is available for reconsidering moves in solo play. Covered tiles or tiles blocked on both sides cannot be selected.

WordJong — About this game

Mahjong-style stacks become a word puzzle: choose uncovered letters with an open side, spell an English word and remove its tiles. Rare letters and longer words offer more points, but using every vowel too soon can leave an awkward finish. Daily mode presents calendar-based boards with target scores, while Temple Challenge carries your rank through successive layouts. A turn-based CPU battle uses a shared pile, adding the question of which letters to leave behind. Butterfly awards provide extra goals for notable words and scores.
