How to Play The World Ends with You
Quick start
Begin a new game and follow the movement lesson at Scramble Crossing. Escape the first frog encounter as instructed, then meet Shiki at Hachiko and practise the first pin power. Read each pin’s activation instructions before the later lesson introduces Shiki’s upper-screen attacks.
Controls
Use the stylus to move Neku and perform the touch gestures listed on equipped pins. In battle, the D-pad controls the upper-screen partner; A/B/X/Y provide the alternative for left-handed play. START pauses battle. Tap the Player Pin during exploration to scan, then touch a Noise symbol to fight.
The World Ends with You — About this game
Neku wakes in Shibuya with a strange pin and a daily mission that he must complete to survive. Exploration leads through busy streets, conversations and encounters with the Noise. In the original DS battles, Neku fights on the Touch Screen while his partner attacks on the upper screen; they share one health gauge. Equipping different pins changes the gestures that activate his powers, so learning a small set of attacks helps you coordinate both characters.
