How to Play Wrecking Crew

Quick start

Use SELECT at the title to choose one player, two players, or DESIGN. A/B changes the starting PHASE; START begins. Watch which walls flash at the opening, then use ladders to reach them and A or B to demolish. Leave an escape route before destroying ladder-walls. Pause with START and use Up/Down to inspect the stage.

Controls

D-pad: walk Left/Right and climb ladders Up/Down. A or B: swing the hammer; neither is a normal jump button. At the title, A/B selects PHASE and SELECT changes mode. START begins or pauses/resumes; while paused, Up/Down scrolls the stage. During play SELECT abandons the stage and returns to the title. DESIGN: move the cursor with the D-pad, cycle the object with A/B, then move to leave it in place.

Wrecking Crew — About this game

Wrecking Crew makes Mario and Luigi demolition workers rather than jumping adventurers. Clear every required wall while navigating floors and ladders, but think before breaking a ladder-wall that you still need. Dynamite can clear a row, and dropping drums can trap pursuers, yet a badly timed demolition may leave you stuck. Enemies, falling hazards, and the troublesome foreman keep pressure on your route. Choose any of 100 stages, play solo or take turns with a second player, and build up to four custom stages in DESIGN. Winning depends on a workable demolition order, not simply swinging at everything nearby.
