Controls
Use the +Control Pad to move. Tap the touchscreen to strike, draw a circle for a grapple or two for a strong grapple, and swipe for an Irish whip. Follow contextual instructions for other actions.

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 on DS combines free ring movement with stylus-driven wrestling. A tap starts a strike, circles initiate grapples and a swipe sends an opponent toward the ropes. Getting into range matters before choosing the gesture. The wrestler creator lets you build a competitor, while match types such as ladder, cage and table bouts change the objective. Practise a basic match first, learn to approach without wasting attacks and read the selected rules before trying a special bout. A pin is not the goal in every match type.
