How to Play WWF WrestleMania Challenge

Quick start

Press START to open selection. Choose the player setup with left/right and confirm with A or B, then select a captain and the requested team size or partners. Begin with a one-on-one bout to learn the angled ring movement. Tap A for punches and use B at close range for a throw; holding A gives a different strike. When the opponent is down, line up near the upper-body side of the waist and press B to attempt a pin. A weak opponent is less able to escape. If you are knocked down, held or pinned, rapidly alternate left and right to struggle free while strength remains. In team bouts, go to your own corner and press SELECT to tag.

Controls

D-pad: move around the ring in eight directions. A tapped: punch; A held: a second strike that depends on the wrestler. B near a standing opponent: throw or positional specialty move; B by a downed opponent’s upper body: pin attempt. A+B: power move or defensive duck, depending on situation and wrestler. At a corner, press toward the post with A+B to climb, then A to attack into the ring. Alternate left/right rapidly to rise, break holds or escape pins if enough strength remains. SELECT at your team corner: tag. START: begin; menus use left/right and A or B to confirm.

WWF WrestleMania Challenge — About this game

WWF WrestleMania Challenge makes positioning and strength management central to its wrestling. Tapping A throws a punch, holding it produces another strike, and B changes its effect with your position: a standing opponent can be thrown, while a fallen opponent can be pinned. Wrestlers also differ in their power and cornerpost moves, so the same buttons do not mean an identical move for every star. The match does not end just because someone falls; weaken the opponent enough to hold a pin, and use left/right inputs to fight back while you still have strength. Beyond one-on-one bouts, tag teams allow resting partners to recover, and Survivor Series removes pinned team members until one side is eliminated. Solo players can tackle the eight-man tournament, while two people can oppose each other or join forces against computer teams. Staying outside the ring too long risks a countout, so retreating is not a free escape from a difficult opponent.
