Start with a one-on-one match to learn spacing. Use A for punches and B for kicks, then step close to begin a grapple; different A, B, and combined inputs produce headbutts, slams, throws, and Irish whips. Hold A+B to run toward the ropes, and attack during or just after the rebound for running moves. Against a downed rival, use B+Down to pin. In a tag match, approach your corner and press A to tag. In a cage match, walk into the cage wall and keep holding that direction to climb; reaching the top and escaping wins the bout.

D-pad: move and steer aerial attacks. A: punch; during a grapple, headbutt; at a turnbuckle, flying elbow; at your tag corner, tag your partner. B: kick; during a grapple, scoop slam; at a turnbuckle, climb down. A+B: run toward the ropes; release to stop. While grappling, A+B throws the rival to the mat, and A+B plus Forward or Backward performs an Irish whip. Against a downed rival, A is an elbow drop, B is a stomp, and B+Down pins. Tap A repeatedly to rise, escape a pin, or overpower a grapple. Walk into a corner to climb the turnbuckle. In a cage match, walk into the wall and hold that direction to climb and escape.
