How to Play X-Men: Mutant Wars
Quick start
Choose Story Mode and begin the Canadian forest mission as Wolverine. Practise jumping with A, then press A again in the air for extra height. Defeat cyborgs and search branches and dropped items for the key before the boss. Use SELECT with a direction to call a teammate; return to Wolverine with SELECT alone. Keep the password shown after clearing the stage.
Controls
Left/Right moves; double-tap a direction to run or fly/glide, depending on the character. A jumps and a second A in the air adds height. B attacks; Up/Down with B aims attacks diagonally. Up enters doors or climbs ladders; Down enters holes or sewers. With SELECT: Left calls Gambit, Up Iceman, Right Cyclops and Down Storm. SELECT alone returns to Wolverine.
X-Men: Mutant Wars — About this game
A level is more than a dash to the boss: you also need its key to continue. Search side routes and defeat enemies carrying supplies, then manage the team’s health and mutant energy. Different attack ranges and movement abilities make changing characters useful against different obstacles. Story mode gives passwords after cleared levels, while Fight mode puts the focus on successive boss battles.
