How to Play Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories
Quick start
Start a new game, inspect your deck and choose an available opponent from the first group. Read each card’s values and alignment before placing it. After a duel, review the reward in your collection and add usable cards rather than assuming every strong card is immediately legal.
Controls
Direction pad: choose menus, cards and positions. A: confirm selections. B: cancel or return in menus. In Construction, START switches part sets; Up/Down changes upper parts, Left/Right changes lower parts, and A confirms the finished card.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories brings card duels to Game Boy Color with a growing deck, familiar opponents and its own early battle rules. Win matches to earn cards, expand your deck options and work through increasingly demanding groups of duelists.
Card alignments can matter as much as attack values, so choosing a monster requires more than comparing numbers. Construction combines upper and lower monster parts into a new card. This is the international version of Duel Monsters III, with its own progression and rules.
