How to Play Zendoku
Quick start
Start with Dojo to learn symbol placement, then try an easy Quest or Zen puzzle. Check the row, column and box before entering a symbol. In battles, watch incoming attacks and learn your character’s Lucky Symbol.
Controls
Touch a side-panel symbol, then an empty cell to place it. Touch your own entry again to remove it where the mode permits. Clear attacks by tapping, wiping, turning or dragging as prompted; some require blowing into the microphone. START opens the pause menu.
Zendoku — About this game
Zendoku keeps Sudoku’s rule that each row, column and three-by-three box must contain each symbol once, then adds attacks and defenses. Completing sections sends obstacles to an opponent; a well-timed placement of your character’s Lucky Symbol can return an incoming attack. Learn in Dojo, follow a character through Quest or chase scores in Zen. Classic Sudoku also offers ordinary numbers and an untimed option.
