How to Play Zoo Keeper
Quick start
Open How To Play if you want the rules, then choose Game Start and Normal. Select two neighbouring animals whose exchange will line up at least three identical animals. Keep checking the quotas on the upper screen and favour species you still need. Make steady matches to refill the time bar; use a binocular hint when you cannot find a move. Filling every quota advances the level.
Controls
Touch an animal and then its neighbour, or drag it one square horizontally or vertically. With buttons, move the cursor using the +Control Pad, press A to grab an animal, then press a direction to swap; A again releases it. B or L uses a limited binocular hint during play. START pauses. In menus, A or START selects and B returns; menu icons also respond to touch.
Zoo Keeper — About this game
Zoo Keeper turns the zoo into a busy matching board. Swap neighbouring animals to make a horizontal or vertical line of at least three; captured tiles disappear and new animals drop into the gaps. In Normal mode, speed alone is not enough: every animal has a quota, so neglecting one species can delay the next level while the timer keeps shrinking. Captures restore time, and the lucky animal shown above the board awards double points. Limited binocular hints help when the next move is hard to spot. Tokoton changes progression to collecting a hundred of one animal, Quest sets specific tasks, and Time Attack offers a six-minute scoring challenge. The original DS release also includes a two-player wireless battle using a single game card. Touch controls let you work directly on the board, with a complete button alternative.
