How to Play 10-Yard Fight
Quick start
Choose 1 PLAYER and High School, then learn the rhythm of short gains before chasing touchdowns. On a scrimmage play, press A once to snap. Run diagonally to make tacklers miss; if a side receiver is open, press toward that side and use the lateral pass. Throw forward only when the deep receiver has a clear path, because interceptions surrender valuable yardage. You have four downs to gain ten yards, so two or three safe advances are often better than one risky throw. Near scoring range, enter kick mode for a field-goal attempt if the defense closes off the end zone.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move the highlighted player. On offense, A snaps the ball and then throws to the forward/right receiver, while B sends a lateral to the left receiver. To kick, hold Down and press A at the beginning of the play, aim the moving marker with Left/Right, then press A to punt or attempt a field goal or extra point. On defense, press A or B before the play to select the matching marked defender; during play, either button launches a forward diving tackle. Select changes one-player/two-player and menu choices, while Start confirms selections and pauses the game.
10-Yard Fight — About this game
10-Yard Fight delivers a streamlined, top-down version of American football for one or two players. Each offensive possession puts you in direct control of the quarterback or receiver: run through space, throw a lateral to either side, or attempt a forward pass to the deep target. Advance ten yards within four downs to retain possession, and use punts, field goals, touchdowns, and extra points to outscore the opposition. In solo play, each win leads to a stronger team, progressing from High School through College, Professional, Playoff, and Super Bowl difficulty.
