How to Play Zombie Nation
Quick start
Choose Easy and start with Round 1. Use short D-pad taps to accelerate, then tap the opposite direction before obstacles to cancel your drift. Fire B repeatedly into both enemies and scenery; rescued people provide the upgrades needed to keep the screen manageable. Prioritize safe rescues until your normal shot reaches its stronger levels. When the star indicator lights, save the A-button flash bomb for a crowded section with no clear escape lane. Learning where lasers, walls, and forced movement appear matters more than chasing score on the first run.
Controls
The D-pad moves the tengu mask in four directions, but momentum continues after an input, so counter-steer to slow down. B fires the normal forward and downward projectiles and must be tapped repeatedly. A uses one flash bomb only while the star indicator is lit. On the stage-select screen, use the D-pad to choose Rounds I–IV, Select to switch Easy/Hard, and Start to begin. During play, Start pauses or resumes; Select has no function.
Zombie Nation — About this game
Abarenbou Tengu sends a giant tengu mask across an alien-controlled United States, destroying buildings, weapons, and monsters while rescuing the people thrown from the wreckage. Every five rescues advances the power meter: the normal shot grows into double and triple rapid fire, then awards a one-use screen-clearing flash bomb. The first four rounds can be attempted in any order before the final stage. Movement carries deliberate inertia, especially on Hard, so braking with a brief tap in the opposite direction is as important as firing.
