How to Play Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, Disney's
Quick start
After Mickey explains the missing keys, choose a ride on the park map. Pirates offers the most familiar start: jump with A, throw candles with B and duck with Down. During Autopia, keep A held on safe stretches, brake with B for corners and make sure the star target is met. Visit the children on the hub paths as well as the rides, since their Disney questions lead to the sixth key. Select opens the status display. Once five attraction keys and the quiz key have been collected, make your way back to the castle.
Controls
The D-Pad walks or steers; Start pauses and Select displays status/options. Pirates: A jumps (hold it for greater height), B throws candles or fires the cannon, Down ducks. Autopia: A accelerates, B brakes, Left/Right steers. Big Thunder Mountain and Haunted Mansion use directional movement with A assigned to jumps in the relevant sections. Space Mountain shows the required input: use the D-Pad for arrows, A for the right-side button symbol and B for the left-side symbol.
Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, Disney's — About this game
This NES visit to the Magic Kingdom combines an overhead park map with five self-contained attraction games. Players race Autopia, negotiate Big Thunder Mountain's junctions, survive the Haunted Mansion track, cross the pirate stage and follow quick commands in Space Mountain. Clearing those attractions supplies five silver keys, while a chain of Disney questions from park visitors supplies the sixth. The design changes pace and controls from one event to the next, making careful reading of prompts and sensible use of braking, jumping and attacks more valuable than treating the collection as a single platform game.
