How to Play Uninvited
Quick start
Start a file and inspect the crash scene thoroughly before entering the mansion. Use the command icons in a consistent order: examine first, open containers, then take anything that may be useful. When an obstacle appears, review the inventory and spell list for a clue-matched solution instead of trying every object blindly. Save before opening suspicious doors or handling dangerous artifacts. If progress stops, revisit earlier rooms because an overlooked object or an action on a specific part of the scene is usually the missing step.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move the on-screen cursor among commands, objects, inventory cards, and exits. A selects or confirms and advances text; B cancels or backs out of a choice. Start begins the game and Select is used on setup/file screens. To use an object, choose the Use command, select its card, and then position the cursor over the intended target before pressing A. Saving is selected through the game's command interface.
Uninvited — About this game
Uninvited is a first-person horror adventure adapted for the NES from ICOM Simulations' point-and-click original. A crash leaves the protagonist outside a mysterious mansion while his sister has vanished. You navigate room exits, examine scenery, collect objects, and issue commands through an on-screen cursor rather than direct character movement. The mansion is full of supernatural enemies, deceptive items, and sudden deaths; progress depends on reading clues and matching inventory objects or spells to the correct target, with a save system supporting methodical exploration.
