How to Play Alex Ferguson’s Player Manager 2002
Quick start
Start a new career and choose Player Manager to manage the club while playing matches; Full Manager remains focused on management. Select league and team, check the starting XI, lineup and training, then advance to the first match. On the pitch, keep the ball with short passes to B and reserve A for well-placed shots.
Controls
Management screens: directional cross to browse icons, lists and values, A to open or validate, B to return or cancel; START pauses a played match. On the field, the cross directs the nearest active player. With the ball, B passes to the target teammate and A shoots; without the ball or on a high ball, A also performs the contextual action, including sliding tackle, jump or header. Composition, training, positions, tactics and transfers are adjusted in the menus.
