How to Play Alfred Chicken
Quick start
Press Start, then explore until every balloon in the stage has been popped. Use short or held A presses to control jump height, and press Down while falling to dive-bomb enemies or floor switches. Search the first four stages for both the Pot of Jam and Watering Can before popping the last balloon. Once Jam is collected, use B bombs to clear threats from a safer distance.
Controls
D-pad Left/Right moves Alfred; Up enters doors and swims upward; Down pecks while standing, dive-bombs while airborne, and swims downward. A jumps, with a longer hold producing a higher jump; A also adds lift from springs and slows a fall. B drops a bomb after collecting a Pot of Jam and fires the large projectile during Meka-Chicken battles. Start begins or pauses play.
Alfred Chicken — About this game
Alfred Chicken is a side-scrolling NES platform game built around five large stages filled with balloons, switches, doors, water, springs, and hidden rooms. Alfred must pop every balloon in a stage; the final balloon then carries him toward a bonus sequence or a confrontation with the Meka Chickens. Pecking downward defeats enemies and activates floor objects, while springs can launch Alfred to otherwise unreachable ledges. A hidden Pot of Jam in each of the first four stages grants bomb shots, and finding the four hidden Watering Cans is required for the best ending.
