How to Play 1943: Midway Kaisen (Japan, Rev B)
Quick start
- Defeat a complete red formation for an item.
- Shoot the item to cycle the offered reward.
- Collect fuel before the meter becomes critical.
- Use Fire+Special for a loop when evasion suits the danger.
Controls
Fire shoots the selected weapon. Special uses a large attack at a fuel cost. Fire+Special performs the loop manoeuvre. In two-player play, overlapping aircraft transfers energy toward the one with less fuel.
1943: Midway Kaisen (Japan, Rev B) — About this game
1943: Midway Kaisen (Japan, Rev B) trades the usual stock of spare aircraft for a fuel meter that constantly falls and also suffers from damage. Destroying complete red formations produces supplies, and shooting an item cycles its reward before collection. The Special action spends fuel on a large attack; pressing Fire and Special together performs an evasive loop instead. Two players can also transfer energy by overlapping their aircraft. Watch the remaining fuel before choosing an emergency attack, since the same resource must keep the plane in the air until another refill arrives.
