How to Play Forgotten Worlds (USA, B-Board 88618B-2, Rev. E)

Quick start

  1. Move with the joystick and practise turning the aim separately.
  2. Fire while keeping a dangerous enemy in the chosen direction.
  3. Collect Zenny and make a purchase before the shop timer expires.
  4. Reserve Megacrush for emergencies because it consumes vitality.

Controls

The joystick moves the soldier. Turn the original roll switch to aim in sixteen directions and press it to fire. Turning while firing adjusts the satellite’s aim; turning without firing also changes its position around the soldier. Rapid presses trigger the vitality-consuming Megacrush.

Forgotten Worlds (USA, B-Board 88618B-2, Rev. E) — About this game

Forgotten Worlds (USA, B-Board 88618B-2, Rev. E) separates where a flying soldier moves from where he aims. A rotary control turns the weapon through sixteen directions while an eight-way joystick guides movement, allowing retreat without abandoning a firing line. An orbiting satellite adds firepower and can have its position and aim adjusted through the same control. Defeated enemies leave Zenny, which can buy new satellite weapons, protection or recovery in timed shops. Rapid repeated firing can trigger a Megacrush, clearing enemies at the expense of vitality. Keep enough health for the next encounter rather than treating that emergency attack as free ammunition.
