Chatan Yara Kuushanku - The Karate Tournament (Japan) — About this game
Chatan Yara Kuushanku - The Karate Tournament (Japan) is an exact registered version in this game family. The Karate Tournament uses an attack button and a jump button, with the directional stance changing which strike comes out. A straight attack, a directional kick and a two-button combination therefore share a compact control scheme. Guarding also depends on the height selected by the direction, making posture as useful as moving forward. Jump combinations provide a short advance or a retreating roll. Learning a few directions first helps turn the small number of buttons into a wider choice of attacks and defensive responses. Version-specific changes to characters, stages, timing, difficulty, balance, graphics or hidden content are not inferred where the registration does not document them.
