How to Play Knights of the Round (bootleg with 2xMSM5205, set 1)
Quick start
- Choose a knight and learn the reach of normal attacks and jumps.
- Try guarding by pressing back after Attack, then release before holding too long.
- Collect treasure for points and use level-ups to recover health.
- Land heavy swings in openings and advance while watching the time limit.
Controls
Move with the joystick, attack with A and jump with B. Press A then forward for a heavy swing, or A then back to guard. Holding guard too long causes exhaustion, so time it to an enemy’s strike. Jump near a horse to mount it; guarding is unavailable while riding.
Knights of the Round (bootleg with 2xMSM5205, set 1) — About this game
Knights wield swords and axes in a scrolling brawler inspired by Arthurian legend. Scoring raises your level, changes attack power and appearance, and fully restores health at each level-up. Treasure therefore helps you grow as well as defeated enemies; watch your remaining health and progress toward the next level. A successful guard grants brief invulnerability, but holding it too long exhausts you and leaves you unable to move. Mix heavy swings with ordinary attacks and time your guard around the enemy’s strike. Riding a horse lets you attack while moving, but you cannot guard on horseback.
