How to Play Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future (Asia 990608, NO CD)
Quick start
- Choose the fighter and Super Art.
- Practise tapping Forward just before a standing strike.
- Use Down for a low parry.
- Compare Light Punch+Light Kick throws with Medium Punch+Medium Kick leap attacks.
Controls
Use three punches and three kicks. Tap Forward to parry high attacks or Down to parry low; air parries use Forward. Light Punch+Light Kick throws or escapes a throw; Medium Punch+Medium Kick performs a leap attack. Use the listed special command with two appropriate attack buttons for an eligible EX move at a gauge cost. Ryu’s Hadou Ken is Down, Down-Forward, Forward + Punch.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike adds a more demanding guard parry to its defensive choices. A correctly timed direction can parry an incoming attack, and the red version can interrupt the blocking sequence when timed during guard stun. Each fighter also chooses one Super Art before the match, sharing the available resource with eligible EX attacks. Revised throw and leap-attack inputs give the close fight its own distinct commands.
