How to Play Sonic Boom (FD1094 317-0053)
Quick start
- Fire at an approaching enemy formation.
- Collect a released parachute pickup for another supporting fighter.
- Move clear of the next gun emplacement’s line of fire.
- Use a smart bomb when the screen becomes difficult to cross.
Controls
Move with the joystick. Fire shoots the jet’s guns and attached fighters, while Bomb spends a smart bomb. Collect released supporting fighters to strengthen the formation.

Sonic Boom (FD1094 317-0053) builds a small fighter formation around the player’s jet through pickups released by enemy craft. Each attached plane adds another gun, helping meet the waves of aircraft, tanks and installations below. A separate smart bomb provides a limited answer to a crowded screen or heavily defended target. Losing the jet sends the player back through an earlier part of the approach, making the gathered formation valuable to preserve.
