How to Play Atari Anniversary Advance
Quick start
Press START for the Game Menu, choose a title with Left/Right, alter its options with Up/Down and begin with A. A good first run is Asteroids on the default scheme: split the largest rocks early, keep moving as the fragments speed up and use hyperspace only when trapped. Battlezone, Centipede, Missile Command, Super Breakout, Tempest and Trivia Challenge are also available.
Controls
Menu: Left/Right selects a game, Up/Down alters its options, and A confirms and starts; in an option screen Up/Down selects, Left/Right changes the value, and A returns. START pauses, and A+B+START+SELECT goes straight to the Game Menu. Asteroids uses Left/Right to turn, Up to thrust, A/L/R to fire and B for hyperspace. Battlezone moves with the D-Pad and fires with A/B/L/R. Centipede moves with the D-Pad and fires with A/B/L/R. Missile Command moves the crosshair with the D-Pad, fires the middle base with A/B, left base with L and right base with R. Super Breakout moves the bat with Left/Right or L/R, serves with A and chooses game type with B before play. Tempest moves left/right, fires with A/L/R and uses the Super Zapper with B.
