How to Play Barbie
Quick start
Start in the mall by moving right slowly and learning the jump timing. Collect B balls to refill the Z meter and press Down on B-marked blocks to uncover hidden bonuses. When an animal appears beside a blocked route, cycle the bracelet setting with SELECT, then hold B to send the charm far enough and release it over the target area. Preserve energy by waiting for tennis balls and other repeating hazards rather than rushing through them.
Controls
D-Pad moves Barbie; Down activates some hidden B blocks. A jumps. B throws the selected bracelet charm at a 45-degree angle: holding B carries it farther and releasing B drops it. SELECT changes the charm's animal-command effect. START pauses. Use the correct charm mode for the animal or the throw may not solve the obstacle.
Barbie — About this game
The North American NES game Barbie follows Barbie into a dream after she makes plans to meet Ken. Each chapter transforms an everyday destination into a platform stage, including the mall, an underwater world and a soda shop. Barbie avoids moving objects, collects B symbols for energy and protection, and uses three bracelet-charm settings to interact with animals. A dog may remove a nuisance, a bird can affect a high obstacle and dolphins help in the water, so selecting the right request matters more than simply throwing at everything. The charm follows a rising arc while the button is held and falls when released, turning range and timing into the central puzzle mechanic.
